The Ranch

The Hunting Safaris take place at Thorndale as well as on private hunting concessions situated in the finest hunting areas in the Eastern Cape, offering the hunter an abundance of trophy specimen to hunt in a malaria free environment. Our hunting season takes place throughout the year. Thorndale Safari is situated near Kirkwood in the heart of the Eastern Cape, 55 miles from the metropolis of Port Elizabeth. This opulent Game Ranch on 14800 acres offers a comprehensive variety of Trophy Plains Game and is easily accessible by road. At the end of the day the accommodation contrasts sharply with the thrill of the day's hunt. The Main Lodge consists of a dining room, bar and living room with a large deck, barbecue area and swimming pool.

Accommodation

At Thorndale accommodation is to the highest standard and is provided in either the main lodge or individual chalets. We limit the amount of hunters and observes to six guests per ranch / hunting visit.

Cuisine

All meals are prepared and served in the dining room at the main lodge. 

End your day with drinks served at our rustic bar, recounting the day's adventures in front of a crackling fire.
